Worm RPG 0.1.8: Boss battles and QoL upgrades


I've uploaded a new release for the game, this time with two (in)famous streaming supervillains acting as minibosses, with several different encounters. Despite their reputation, they can be tough to fight, so I'll be happy to receive feedback on whether I should adjust the difficulty or not.

I also remade a raid system. In the initial version, it was just a tougher battle with 2-3 enemies and nothing else. Now, it is an investigation that you need to complete: gather 5 region-specific clues either by patrolling, investigating gang activity, or trawling through the PHO forum to find the gang hideout and raid it. Inside, you'll find a gang lieutenant with 1-2 mooks guarding it. The battle is tougher, and victory is more rewarding.

Besides that, I've added several quality-of-life improvements to the interface and the game itself, to make playing it a better experience, like additional warnings, labels, tooltips, pagination buttons for the combat, etc.

Here's the changelog:

  • Uber & Leet - a miniboss encounter with 4 different variations, each having its own abilities and gimmicks.
  • Refurbished raid system - collect clues to find and raid gang hideouts. Maybe you'll catch a certain all-seeing eye that way in the future...
  • Lieutenant enemies - for now, they are limited to gang hideouts, but in the future, you might find them on the streets as well.
  • Various bugfixes and QoL improvements - new UI indicators for the Character screen, tooltips, better enemy and stat tracking, slightly reworked power trees, etc.
